Happy People: Stories from our Clients
What an awesome company, helpful, friendly and professional with lots of hire options available as my teenage daughter slowly recovered from a patella dislocation. Easy to find on Great South Road, plenty of parking, loads of inventory and very reasonable hire prices.

I thought I would send you a brief story about how I ended up buying a mobility scooter from you, reasons, advantages etc. I, for many years have had a major heart condition. This has led to diabetes and mixed with some harsh drugs has brought on Peripheral Neuropathy. As this developed I had more and more problems walking and 12 months ago I had to give up driving because I did not have any idea where my feet were! Very tricky when you are driving.
I was given a walking frame by the hospital which was good but as things got worse getting around became more and more difficult. Although my wife would take me out, I missed my independence to get around by myself.
I then started to look at mobility scooters and did considerable research on the internet and talked to a lot of suppliers. I live in Pukekohe and needed a scooter which I could use on the trains. I discussed this with Auckland Transport and they advised me of the size of unit best suited to trains. I also wanted a reputable brand which was supported well in NZ. There are a lot of scooters out there and if you believe some suppliers had every bell and whistle known, but the fact that they were to big did not seem to matter.
I talked to the sales lady at Walk on Wheels who would not say what was good or bad but suggested I go to there shop to look at what was available and see if any thing suited. I did go and had the pleasure of meeting Adam who knew what I needed and I purchased a Invacare Pegasus. It covered all my requirements, size etc and well supported in NZ.
Buying this scooter has been life changing. I have totally got my independence back and am doing things and going places I have not been for a long time. A regular trip out for me is, train from Pukekohe to Papakura. Change onto the electric trains to Britomart. Then go and enjoy all the action on the Auckland water front. It is the best medicine there is. Have done a trip over to Devonport also. The staff on both the trains and ferrys are very obliging and give you any help you need.
I recommend to any body who wants to have there independence back, get a mobility scooter. I promise you will not regret it.
- Ernie Mansfield, Pukekohe.
